I have a flat brick window sill inside and the brick outside is at a downward angle. My window is a double hung vinyl that feels pretty flimsy so I wouldn’t want the weight of the AC unit resting on the window frame (the window is special made 12.5 feet by 50 inches high; it includes a 36 X 50 double hung window on each end with a large picture window in the center).
